Susan Crawford
July 22, 2024 Women’s March WIN Endorses Judge Susan Crawford for Wisconsin Supreme Court
Women’s March WIN proudly endorses Judge Susan Crawford for the Wisconsin Supreme Court. A dedicated prosecutor, attorney, and judge, Susan has always fought for justice, equality, and constitutional rights—core values for a feminist future.
With the Wisconsin Supreme Court set to decide on key issues like reproductive rights, voting access, and labor protections, this election is crucial. Susan’s opponent, Brad Schimel, has a history of partisan bias and sexist rhetoric, with his campaign funded by right-wing billionaires like Elon Musk, raising concerns about special interest influence.
Susan Crawford’s campaign is driven by grassroots support from judges and community leaders. Women’s March WIN will mobilize voters to ensure Wisconsin elects a justice who stands for fairness and integrity.
We urge all Wisconsinites to vote for Susan Crawford on April 1. Let’s protect our courts and our freedoms.

Kamala Harris
July 22, 2024 Women’s March WIN Endorses Vice President Kamala Harris as Democratic Nominee
In response to reports that President Biden will step down as the Democratic nominee in the 2024 election, Rachel O’Leary Carmona, Executive Director of Women’s March WIN, issued the following statement:
“Joe Biden put his country over his own ambition, like he has done many times over his career. Women’s March and our sister organization Women’s March WIN were proud to work to help him defeat Donald Trump in the 2020 election.”
“But now, with the rising threat of authoritarianism posed by Donald Trump, his Republican sycophants, and the cruel Project 2025 agenda - we thank President Biden for recognizing the need for a new candidate to defeat this threat.
“With the election just four months away, the stakes have never been higher. The choices that will be on the ballot this November will determine what women can do with their bodies and how they can plan their families. They will determine whether we put a dictator in power who will dismantle our democracy and judicial system, strip reproductive freedoms away from millions of people, and take us back to a time where far too many Americans – women, people of color, members of the LGBTQ+ community – were treated like little more than second class citizens.”
“In 2020, when he campaigned amid the height of the COVID pandemic, Biden promised to be a transitional candidate forging a bridge to a new generation. And he did just that.
“Now, Biden aims to build on the achievements of his administration by backing Vice President Kamala Harris for President. Harris understands the frustrations of the vast majority of Americans who stand in support of access to abortion care, and she has campaigned for decades to fight for fundamental reproductive rights.
“Women’s March WIN will meet this moment and work with our base to galvanize women across the country and win again in 2024. We will not stand by and let our freedoms be revoked. We proudly endorse Kamala Harris for President of the United States.”

Janet Protasiewicz
FEB 7, 2023
Women’s March WIN Announces Endorsement of Janet Protasiewicz for Wisconsin Supreme Court Primary Election. Women’s March WIN’s endorsement comes on the heels of Women’s March’s #BiggerThanRoe day of action which was centered in Madison, WI on January 22. Wisconsin was chosen as the location of the national march specifically to highlight how the battle for reproductive rights has moved into the states and that Wisconsin’s upcoming Supreme Court election was one of the first major battlegrounds in determining the fate of abortion access.
Women’s March WIN will run a GOTV operation turning out voters with the “Vote for Janet, Dammit” theme. It will include organized bar crawls, voter guide distributions, and wheatpaste with ‘Vote for Janet, Dammit” stickers, based on the group’s Rocky Horror “Dammit, Janet” theme.
“We’ve said it before: the fight for reproductive rights now lies in the states, and the Wisconsin Supreme Court election is just another example of how our fight is Bigger Than Roe,” said Rachel Carmona, Executive Director of Women’s March WIN. “Make no mistake: this seat will determine the future of abortion rights in the state. Lives are on the line, and it is vital for a pro-choice, pro-equality candidate like Janet Protasiewicz to galvanize Wisconsinites to turn out to the polls in the primary and general elections and fight for their fundamental human rights in the state.”

Mandela Barnes
July 20, 2022 Women’s March WIN—Women’s March’s Super PAC—announced its endorsement of Mandela Barnes for U.S. Senate in Wisconsin. Rachel O’Leary Carmona, executive director at Women’s March issued the following statement in response:“
Women’s March WIN is proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with Mandela Barnes in his bid to unseat a corrupt and extreme Republican incumbent. As a Wisconsin native, I know he has the values, commitment, and vision to represent Wisconsin well and fight for our rights with every tool at his disposal. Electing more pro-choice Democrats to the Senate isn’t gonna cut it. We need to elect Democrats who understand that you cannot call yourself pro-choice and also protect the filibuster. Mandela gets it.
“We’ve also seen what happens when we elect the wrong people to these roles. One of Mandela’s opponents, Alex Lasry, thinks he can buy this seat just like Ron Johnson did. The U.S. Senate already has too many billionaires who get power and then sit on their hands while our rights are under siege. Enough. Mandela will be the fighter we need—in the streets and on the Senate floor.
“This election is so critical, and who we send to Washington at this moment matters. With everything on the line, we cannot afford more hollow speeches, broken promises, and endless excuses. We have to get this right. Mandela knows what’s at stake, and that’s why he’s earned our support.
Beto O’Rourke and Lina Hidalgo
June 2, 2022 Women’s March Win, Women’s March’s Super PAC, endorsed Beto O’Rourke in his run for Governor of Texas and Lina Hidalgo in her re-election for Harris County Judge. Women’s March Executive Director Rachel O’Leary Carmona released the following statement in response:
“We are at a breaking point in American history. We’re on the cusp of losing so many of our civil liberties and fundamental rights and we need to elect champions for women and for our most vulnerable to public office to keep our rights from being taken away. Beto and Lina are the champions we need to meet the gravity of this moment. That’s why Women’s March Win is proud to endorse both Beto O’Rourke for Governor and Lina Hidalgo in her re-election for Harris County Judge. We know that they are committed to fighting for what is right, not just what’s in their own best interest.
“We are heartbroken after the devastating Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Texans deserve more than thoughts and prayers. Texans deserve a governor who will fight back against the powerful gun lobby that bought out Governor Abbott and allowed mass shootings to become the new normal in America. Beto is the only one in this race who can meet the needs of this moment. He is committed to fighting for our most vulnerable population – our children. That’s why he is the first man that Women’s March Win has ever endorsed.
“At a time when Roe and Casey are on their deathbeds, LGBTQ+ youth are under attack, and Republican legislators across the country—including and especially here in Texas—are foaming at the mouth to eliminate these rights entirely, we need judges that are committed to protecting our civil liberties. Lina has a proven track record of doing just that. Lina is committed to ensuring that our court system works for every person, not just those with the means and privilege. Her fight for transparent government is exactly what we need to restore public faith in the court system.
“This election is about more than just politics. People's lives and livelihoods are on the line—and anyone who cares will be supporting Beto O’Rourke for Governor and Lina Hidalgo for Harris County Judge.”
From our Candidates
"I am so proud to receive the endorsement of Women’s March Win," said Beto O'Rourke, democratic gubernatorial candidate for Texas. "I look forward to working alongside their members as we build the largest organizing program in Texas history, win this election, and deliver for women across Texas."
“As Harris County Judge, I’ve worked hard to make meaningful, positive change on issues long overlooked,” said The Honorable Lina Hidalgo. “From investing in early childhood education, to instituting best-in-class family friendly policies for Harris County, to doing everything in my power to protect access to the ballot box, I am committed to fighting to make our system work for everyone. Women’s March is a powerful voice for exactly this kind of change and I’m thrilled to have their support.”
